Toronto — What do Torontonians think of libraries with no librarian?

We’ll find out tomorrow when results of a survey of Toronto residents by MAINSTREET Research are released.

Commissioned by the Toronto Public Library Workers Union, the survey results will be posted to at 9:00 am Thursday, March 30.

MAINSTREET asked 2304 Toronto residents if it’s possible to have a good library without librarians and if they would encourage Mayor Tory to expand the pilot project planned by the Toronto Public Library to test the idea of opening library branches with no on site staff or security.
