A strong suport of our public library has won the Penelopiad contest!

Roberta Varga wins teo tickets to the opening night performance of Nightwood Theatre’s The Penelopiad. Roberta wrote this when she learned of her good fortune:

“I am excited to be attending the opening night of “The Penelopiad” as I love Atwood’s novels.
She was one of the few Canadian authors and more than few international authors that I got introduced to thanks to the Toronto Public Library.

I am an avid reader and the library was and still is one of the handful of services that I love about this city. When I immigrated to Canada more than 10 years ago in a dead of winter, not knowing anyone, the libraries were places to feel welcomed and accepted.”

Special thanks to Nightwood Theatre whose vision and creativity made this contest possible.
